Conservatives: Why do you want to privatize and develop state and national parks for monetary gain?

I was talking to a bunch of conservatives the other night on a forum and they were talking about using the resources in state and national parks to get the economy back in order. I, wanting to be a game warden find this troubling and scary and they told me only tree hugging animal loving pu$$ies would oppose an idea. Is this true? Do conservatives really see this as a goal?
