Is this a good beginning to my story? Would you keep reading?

This could stand to be a bit shorter, just because it gets a little redundant, but it is very well written. I like how a small, somewhat insignificant topic becomes important when expressed through this girl's eyes. She obviously notices the little things in life, and I'm curious to learn more about her- though I can't really tell where the story is going. I would likely read more if I came across this and happened to be looking for a book, but you should probably lay low on the references. You bring up too many small things and repeat the same points a lot, a little bit of this is interesting; a lot is boring.
