Muslims: Do you feel that countries like Syria and Iran suppress their people?

I'm syrian, and the country is runned by the positive aspects (no extremes), for example, if a womans husband dies, regardless of owning a deed, the widow takes his possesions, and not the government (like the U.S.), Religious and other form of racism in creed is a crime in society, and some crimes can be repented(fighting,litterring,minor looting). Free speech is expressed in many books describing politics and the history of the territory in a free-style non-religious manner. Just because you hear them on the news doesn't mean it's true.
